Balance Point Psychology is committed to providing accessible and affordable fees for clients seeking a psychologist in Bendigo. Fees are set well below the Australian Psychological Society recommended standard fee, helping make psychological support more accessible across Greater Bendigo.

Private Health

$190 for appointments (gap fee varies depending on cover)

If your policy includes psychology under extras cover, private health claims can be processed on the spot through our payment system. Your gap will vary depending on your insurer, level of cover, and remaining annual benefits.

Please check with your insurer about your level of cover and claim eligibility before your appointment.

Medicare Rates

$190 for appointments ($91.05 Gap Fee)

To access a Medicare rebate of $98.95 per session, you must provide a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan referral from a GP before or at your first appointment.

Eligible clients can claim up to 10 individual sessions of psychological services per calendar year.

Funding Schemes

Balance Point Psychology also provides services under the relevant fee schedules for:

  • Transport Accident Commission (TAC) - No Gap Fee

  • WorkCover Victoria - No Gap Fee

  • Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) - No Gap Fee

  • Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) - No Gap Fee

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (Self-Managed and Plan Managed) - Standard NDIS rate

No gap fee applies to TAC, WorkCover, DVA, Financial Assistance Scheme, and NDIS services.

Payment

Payment is made on the day of your appointment.

Balance Point Psychology accepts EFTPOS, debit card, credit card, and bank transfer. Where eligible, Medicare rebates and private health claims can be processed at the time of payment.

For clients accessing services through TAC, WorkCover, DVA, the Financial Assistance Scheme, or an eligible NDIS arrangement, fees are managed in line with the relevant funding pathway.

Cancellation Fee

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice where possible.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, and missed appointments, may incur a $95 cancellation fee.

Cancellation fees are not covered by Medicare, private health insurance, or funding schemes, and remain the client’s responsibility.
